The Coalition for Independent Ratings Services

is a non-profit organization that promotes independent ratings services.  We believe is crucial that the groups rating the movies, TV, video games, etc are not the same ones who are trying to sell those products to you.  Since they don't have a financial interest in any particular product, independent ratings providers can be much more objective.


The goal of this site is to be a "one-stop shop" for everything related to independent ratings systems and services.

The Coalition for Independent Ratings Services is a non-profit organization that promotes ratings services that are independent of entertainment content producers.

The Coalition brings together organizations that offer independent ratings and those who seek more effective tools for navigating the wide range of media conten available through television, movies, video games, music and the Internet.

The Coalition's goals are to:

A. Advocate on behalf of independent ratings at the federal and state level

B. Provide a central resource for news related to independent ratings

C. Serve as a forum for discussion and networking for independent ratings organizations and those interested in them.
